The Unified Culture Promotion Foundation (UNICPF) is seeking a Logistics and Procurement Officer to support the implementation of its six-month NHF-OCHA health and nutrition project in Borno State.

Position: Logistics and Procurement Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno State
Duration: 6 months (Fixed Term)
Experience: At least 2-3 years in Logistics and Procurement Management.
Reporting Line: Executive Director

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement processes and logistics operations to ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of goods and services needed for the organization’s programs, including managing supplier relationships and coordinating transportation.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Duties: Oversee the procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of office supplies, equipment, and project materials. Assist in preparing and reviewing procurement documents (purchase orders, contracts).
Logistics & Inventory: Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics processes, including transportation and distribution. Track and maintain accurate inventory records for all supplies and equipment.
Supplier Management: Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for timely delivery, maintain relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing, and resolve any logistical issues.
Fleet Management: Monitor the condition and usage of organizational vehicles. Manage fuel consumption records, ensure regular servicing, and supervise drivers.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement procedures strictly comply with the organization’s policies and standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in Logistics and Procurement Management.
Skills: Strong Negotiation and Communication Skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with procurement/logistics software is an advantage.
Attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, high integrity, and problem-solving ability.
Languages: Proficiency in English, with Hausa and other local dialects being an added advantage.
