Remuneration: Starting from NGN 350,000/month
Location: Fully Remote – Nigeria
Job Description
Surge Africa is seeking an experienced, passionate, and creative Social Media Manager to lead its digital engagement. This role involves designing and executing social strategies, building content pipelines, and growing an active online community aligned with the organization’s climate and cultural mission.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage Surge Africa’s social media strategy.

Create and manage monthly content calendars across Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and others.

Design engaging visual and written content (graphics, reels, threads, carousels).

Monitor analytics, extract insights, and optimize content for better performance.

Collaborate with programs team to adapt stories and campaigns into digital formats.

Stay updated with social media trends and best practices.

Participate in training to improve digital skills.

Monitor SEO, user engagement, and recommend improvements.

Build relationships with influencers and industry partners online.

Who We’re Looking For

At least 3 years’ experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.

Skilled in Canva, Adobe Express, Buffer, Google Analytics, Meta tools.

Self-driven and organized with the ability to multitask independently.

Passionate about climate, culture, and social change.
-
Strong communicator — able to simplify complex info for digital audiences.

Intermediate-level photo/video editing.
-
Excellent time management, digital communication, and presentation skills.
