Job Overview

We are recruiting Data Collectors for the Month 36 ITN Durability Monitoring Study in Anambra State. The role involves household surveys, physical inspections of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs), and retrieving net samples for laboratory analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend training before the survey begins.

  • Conduct household interviews and obtain informed consent.

  • Collect and record data on all ITNs in selected households using digital tools.

  • Retrieve cohort nets and issue replacement nets as required.

  • Ensure accurate labelling and photo documentation of nets collected.

  • Upload data promptly to the server.

  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity throughout the process.

  • Report issues to the team leader and support problem-solving on the field.

Project Scope

  • 288 cohort households across 24 wards in Anambra State.

  • 60 cohort nets to be retrieved and replaced during this final round (Month 36) of monitoring.

  • Nets retrieved will undergo insecticidal effectiveness tests, including bioassays and chemical analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of BSc in health-related or social sciences discipline.

  • Experience in household surveys and electronic data collection (SurveyCTO or ODK).

  • Strong command of English and excellent proficiency in Igbo.

  • Detail-oriented and reliable in remote fieldwork.

  • Previous experience with Malaria Consortium and in SMC is an added advantage.
