About COWACDI:

Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI) is a women-led organization focused on improving the wellbeing of women and children, especially in crisis-affected regions of Nigeria. Operating since 2005, COWACDI has implemented impactful programs across protection, peacebuilding, child empowerment, and humanitarian response in the BAY states (Borno, Adamawa, Yobe).

Job Overview:

As part of our ongoing gender-based violence prevention efforts, COWACDI seeks to hire an experienced Peace Building Facilitator to lead a one-month training program in Bama LGA, Borno State. The facilitator will be responsible for designing, delivering, and reporting on a community-based skills acquisition and sensitization training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design a comprehensive facilitation plan and interactive training agenda.

  • Develop training materials and PowerPoint presentations for participants.

  • Deliver skill acquisition sessions and peacebuilding content to community members.

  • Coordinate with COWACDI program staff to implement the training schedule.

  • Conduct pre- and post-training evaluations and report outcomes.

  • Provide all required tools and materials to participants.

  • Submit a final report including photos, lessons learned, and impact stories.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a BSc in a health-related or social science discipline.

  • Proven experience facilitating skills acquisition programs, preferably in humanitarian settings.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Kanuri or Hausa is a strong advantage.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and report writing skills.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and ability to prepare detailed documentation.

  • Previous experience working in Borno State or the BAY states is preferred.
