Responsibilities
As a Community Hygiene Promoter, you will work under the supervision of a Hygiene Promotion Assistant. Your duties will include:
- Community Engagement:
- Conducting hygiene promotion sessions with a focus on hand washing, safe water, and sanitation practices.
- Engaging with community leaders, women leaders, and other local champions to promote good hygiene.
- Organizing child-to-child hygiene promotion activities using interactive methods like dramas and songs.
- Supporting WASH committees with disinfection campaigns and other public health promotion activities.
- Ensuring the participation of all community members, especially vulnerable groups, in hygiene initiatives.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Collecting demographic data under the guidance of the WASH supervisor.
- Maintaining daily records of hygiene sessions and beneficiaries on prescribed templates.
- Conducting focus group discussions and providing updates on findings and challenges from the field.

Qualifications
- Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years for SSCE holders.
- A minimum of 1 year for National Diploma (ND) or NCE holders.
- Skills:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the local language and fluency in English is a huge advantage.
