Call for Youth Climate Action Volunteers in Northeast Nigeria

The Create A Wonderful-World Initiative (CWI), a non-profit based in Borno, is seeking passionate young Nigerians to become Youth Climate Action Volunteers. This initiative aims to empower youth to take meaningful action on climate change and build a network of advocates who can drive sustainability and influence policy within their communities.

If you’re between the ages of 18 and 29 and a student or recent graduate in Northeast Nigeria, this is your chance to make a real-world impact.

About the Initiative

The project’s primary goal is to engage young people in volunteerism, education, and community outreach to combat climate change. You will help raise awareness, develop your leadership skills, and collaborate on youth-led projects that address local climate challenges.

Activities include:

Organizing workshops on climate science and advocacy.
Engaging in community outreach and promoting sustainable living.
Participating in environmental conservation projects like tree planting and clean-up drives.

Who Should Apply

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

Age: Be between 18 and 29 years old.
Education: Be a student of a tertiary institution or a recent graduate of either secondary school or a tertiary institution.
Location: Be an indigene or resident of Northeast Nigeria, specifically in Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, or Yobe states.
