
NTDs M&E Intern at Helen Keller International in Borno
Founded in 1915, Helen Keller International is dedicated to saving the sight and lives of the most vulnerable. We are seeking a qualified and motivated NTDs M&E Intern to join our team in Borno, with a willingness to work in remote communities. This is a hands-on role for a candidate with some relevant work experience who is passionate about public health.
The Role
As an NTDs M&E Intern, you will provide critical support to the program team in Borno. The role involves a mix of field-based work, data management, and program implementation, all while contributing to a culture of learning and professional conduct.

Key Responsibilities
- Field Support: Supervise mass drug administration for NTDs and participate in the distribution of medical commodities from state stores to health facilities.
- Data Management: Assist the team with data entry, conduct data quality assessments (e.g., spot checks), and maintain both hard and soft copies of program documentation.
- Program Implementation: Support the training of program implementers and assist in the implementation of key activities, including morbidity management and disability prevention.
- Learning & Development: Actively seek opportunities to learn and participate in program activities, and support the development of case studies and success stories
Requirements
- A first degree from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Experience in community-based programming is an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
- A willingness to work in remote communities and an understanding of the local language and terrain.
- Acceptable IT skills for data entry and documentation.
