Action Against Hunger | ACF-International, a global humanitarian organization, is seeking a qualified Project Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial for our mission to save the lives of malnourished children and provide communities with sustainable solutions to hunger. The position is based in Borno and Yobe states.

With a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management and successful implementation of our humanitarian projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Budgeting: Oversee the implementation of project activities to ensure they meet targets and are completed within the designated timeline and budget.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MEAL): Coordinate with the MEAL department for timely project monitoring, data management, and the production of high-quality internal and donor reports.

Team Leadership: Manage and supervise project staff, participate in recruitment, and contribute to capacity-building plans to ensure effective project implementation.
Compliance & Accountability: Ensure all project activities adhere to ACF’s program quality standards and are in line with donor regulations. Work to establish a functional and accessible complaints and feedback mechanism for communities.
External Coordination: Collaborate with Program Managers, Field Coordinators, and external partners to achieve project goals, capture success stories, and address any operational challenges.

Position Requirements

Education: A Master’s degree in Project Management, Humanitarian Studies, Social Science, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in coordinating humanitarian or development activities, particularly in a complex environment.
Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
Preferred: Experience in Borno/Yobe State and in managing a consortium will be given positive consideration.
