Logistics Officer (Assets) at New Incentives, North-West & North-East Nigeria

New Incentives is a pioneer in a growing movement that provides small incentives to caregivers to encourage childhood vaccinations. We’re looking for a dedicated Logistics Officer (Assets) to join our team, ensuring the smooth flow of assets and supplies across the North-West and North-East regions of Nigeria.

This role is critical for managing our organizational assets, from devices to field supplies, and ensuring they reach their intended destinations safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Management: Manage, store, and distribute all field supplies to clinics and Local Government Areas (LGAs) within the state. This includes uploading procurement data, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining proper storage conditions.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the organization’s assets, including the issuance and retrieval of devices for staff. This involves coordinating with HR and security to ensure all assets are accounted for.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct thorough quality checks on all incoming supplies and monitor expiry dates (especially for ORS sachets). You’ll be responsible for ensuring that distributed supplies reach the end-user and that all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Reporting: Complete weekly stock reports and provide other logistical support, including identifying and negotiating with vendors.
  • Security & Safety: Ensure that all asset storage locations are secure, safe, and free from a history of crime or environmental hazards like flooding or fire.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an NGO.
  • A Diploma in Social Science, Business Administration, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong experience in asset management and the collection and distribution of items.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English and Hausa. Knowledge of other predominant local dialects is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, internet browsers, and smartphone technology.
  • A Nigerian national already based in one of the 11 states where New Incentives operates.
