Logistics Officer (Assets) at New Incentives, North-West & North-East Nigeria

New Incentives is a pioneer in a growing movement that provides small incentives to caregivers to encourage childhood vaccinations. We’re looking for a dedicated Logistics Officer (Assets) to join our team, ensuring the smooth flow of assets and supplies across the North-West and North-East regions of Nigeria.

This role is critical for managing our organizational assets, from devices to field supplies, and ensuring they reach their intended destinations safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management: Manage, store, and distribute all field supplies to clinics and Local Government Areas (LGAs) within the state. This includes uploading procurement data, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining proper storage conditions.
Asset Management: Oversee the organization’s assets, including the issuance and retrieval of devices for staff. This involves coordinating with HR and security to ensure all assets are accounted for.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct thorough quality checks on all incoming supplies and monitor expiry dates (especially for ORS sachets). You’ll be responsible for ensuring that distributed supplies reach the end-user and that all transactions are accurately recorded.
Reporting: Complete weekly stock reports and provide other logistical support, including identifying and negotiating with vendors.
Security & Safety: Ensure that all asset storage locations are secure, safe, and free from a history of crime or environmental hazards like flooding or fire.

Key Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an NGO.
A Diploma in Social Science, Business Administration, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
Strong experience in asset management and the collection and distribution of items.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Fluency in both written and verbal English and Hausa. Knowledge of other predominant local dialects is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, internet browsers, and smartphone technology.
A Nigerian national already based in one of the 11 states where New Incentives operates.
