Première Urgence Internationale (PUI), an international humanitarian NGO, is seeking a Nutrition Officer for its project in Borno State.

Role Summary Working under the Nutrition Supervisor, you will be directly responsible for the implementation and monitoring of either the Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) or Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) program, depending on your assignment.

Key Responsibilities (Summary)

• Implementation: Day-to-day management of nutrition activities at the project sites (TSFP – Tom Brown, or IYCF), ensuring adherence to national and global standards.

• Training & Mobilization: Participate in identifying beneficiaries/volunteers (Lead Mothers, Community Nutrition Mobilisers) and organizing groups for training and message dissemination.
• Monitoring & Follow-up: Conduct routine follow-ups, ensure tracing of absentees/defaulters, and conduct community surveys as needed.
• Messaging: Deliver appropriate and consistent education messaging/BCC (Behaviour Change Communication) to mothers and carers.

• Integration: Ensure seamless referral and follow-up between TSFP, OTP, SC, and community teams. Collaborate closely with Health, Food Security, and Protection teams.
• Reporting: Collect and compile accurate weekly data, pictures, and information from the field, and support the community Feedback and Complaints system.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with experience in nutrition or public health.
• Proven ability to implement and monitor CMAM/IYCF programs is highly desirable.
