Remote Job: UPG Biashara Program Coordinator (Nigeria)

United People Global (UPG) is recruiting two Program Coordinators for the UPG Biashara initiative, which supports entrepreneurs in turning ideas into businesses. This is a key, full-time, remote role open only to Nigerian nationals.

Role Summary and Details

The Program Coordinator will be at the heart of UPG’s mission, working independently to manage all aspects of the Biashara entrepreneurship program.

Job Category: Fixed Term Contract
Duration: 6 Months (Full-time)
Location: Fully Remote (Nigeria)
Compensation: Paid competitively.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work within the Switzerland time zone (CET).

Key Responsibilities

The role requires strong leadership and management skills, focusing heavily on program execution, training, and participant development:

Program Management: Be responsible for all program communication, including announcements and networking activities.
Outreach & Strategy: Involve program strategy to campaign and reach target audiences, countries, and sectors.
Curriculum & Training: Develop, manage, and tailor curriculums, training plans, and design the necessary training sessions.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate training programs’ effectiveness, success, and KPIs, providing periodic reports.
Mentorship: Coach, mentor, and guide participants through their challenges and development journeys.
Administration: Manage all application processes and maintain a keen understanding of training trends.

Profile Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience preferred, with proven experience in project and program management, particularly in managing, developing, and setting up training and education programs.
Skills: Strong stakeholder management and corporate relations skills are essential.
Communication: English is a MUST (written CVs must be in English), with outstanding communication skills internally and externally.
Work Style: Ability to work alone and in a team (“Role the Sleeve”) in ambiguous, start-up environments. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with an Agile working style.
Nice to Have: Prior experience in community organizing or local community development is an advantage.
