HMIS/LMIS Data Entry Clerk – Management Sciences for Health (MSH)

Management Sciences for Health (MSH), in partnership with the Global Fund Malaria project, is recruiting Data Entry Clerks to support malaria intervention across thirteen priority states in Nigeria. This role is essential for triangulating health data to improve commodity utilization and reporting accuracy.

Role Overview

  • Locations: Adamawa, Delta, Gombe, Jigawa, Niger, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Katsina, Ogun, Osun, Taraba, and Yobe.

  • Project: Global Fund Malaria.

  • Focus: Comparing Health Management Information System (HMIS) and Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) data at the facility level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Triangulation: Extract and compare data from source documents to identify discrepancies between reported service data and commodity usage.

  • On-site Reviews: Support the review of malaria testing, treatment, and documentation practices within health facilities.

  • Operational Analysis: Observe real-time management of suspected malaria cases and document root causes for high test positivity rates.

  • Reporting: Assist local and state teams in developing improvement plans based on data findings.

  • Data Management: Accurately enter, clean, and validate data while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or Social Sciences.

  • Experience: Previous work with HMIS, LMIS, NHMIS, or health facility data is a significant advantage.

  • Skills: Strong data entry, documentation, and analytical skills.

  • Context: Familiarity with malaria programs or public health interventions is preferred.

  • Mobility: Ability to work independently and travel within the assigned state.
