The role is vital for ensuring field access and staff mobility in support of peacebuilding initiatives in North West Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Safe Transportation: Drive staff, partners, and visitors to project sites and official meetings in compliance with traffic laws.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily checks, maintain cleanliness, and ensure all documents (insurance, licenses) are valid.
Logistics Support: Assist with loading/unloading materials and perform basic administrative tasks as needed.
Security & Safety: Monitor road conditions, report risks immediately, and strictly follow emergency and safety protocols.
Safeguarding: Uphold the organization’s code of conduct and report any safety or safeguarding concerns.

Requirements

Education: Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
Licensing: Valid Nigerian driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience: At least 3 years of professional driving experience, ideally with an NGO or international organization.
Context Knowledge: Proven experience driving in rural and urban areas of North West Nigeria.
Language: Ability to read/write basic English; fluency in Hausa is required.
Skills: Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and troubleshooting.
