The Gender Equality, Peace and Development Centre (GEPaDC), a prominent women-led NGO, is recruiting an Information Management Officer to support the Education in Emergencies Working Group (EiEWG). This role is a key part of the “Grand Bargain” localization commitment, hosting a critical coordination function within a national organization to strengthen local leadership in humanitarian response.

Key Responsibilities
The IMO is the backbone of evidence-based decision-making for the education sector in Northeast Nigeria.

Data Ecosystem Management: Lead the systematic collection, analysis, and dissemination of education-related humanitarian data for the EiEWG.

Strategic Reporting: Support the development of the Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO) and the Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP).

Sector Coordination: Ensure all partners (UNICEF, Save the Children, and local NGOs) are working from consistent and reliable data baselines.

Tool Development: Maintain and upgrade sector information systems and reporting tools to track interventions across national and sub-national levels.

Advocacy & Recovery: Use data to support early recovery and disaster preparedness efforts, ensuring timely interventions for displaced children.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Statistics, Data Science, or Computer Science. Formal training in humanitarian cluster coordination is an asset.

Experience: 2–3 years in humanitarian Information Management. Specific experience with ECW (Education Cannot Wait) processes or cluster coordination is highly desirable.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in data visualization, database management, and humanitarian reporting standards.

Nationality: Open to Nigerian nationals only.
