The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), a world-leading humanitarian organization, is recruiting Field Enumerators to join its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team in Borno State. This role is essential for gathering the high-quality data needed to provide effective aid to displacement-affected populations in Northeast Nigeria.

Role Overview

Position: Field Enumerator
Location: Borno State, Nigeria
Sector: MEAL (Monitoring & Evaluation)
Travel: Up to 90% local travel to remote field locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Collection & Field Research

Surveys: Conduct baseline, endline, and household surveys to profile beneficiaries.
Methodology: Facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and conduct one-on-one interviews.
Digital Tools: Use mobile devices to collect data and ensure timely uploads to server platforms.

2. Ethics & Professionalism

Impartiality: Treat all community members with respect and total neutrality.
Confidentiality: Protect sensitive beneficiary data and adhere strictly to the DRC Code of Conduct.
Asset Management: Care for organizational tools like tablets, power banks, and smartphones.

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements:

Education: Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
Experience: At least 1 year working with an NGO/relief agency in a MEAL-related role.
Tech Savvy: Expert knowledge of mobile data collection tools like KoboCollect, ODK, or Magpi.
Integrity: Proven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain trust.
