Connected Development (CODE), a leading non-governmental organization in Nigeria, is recruiting a Programs Associate. CODE is widely recognized for its social accountability movement, Follow The Money, and is dedicated to empowering citizens to demand transparency and inclusive development in governance.

 Role Overview

• Position: Programs Associate

• Organization: Connected Development (CODE)

• Location: (Typically Abuja-based with field travel)

• Focus: Civic Engagement, Social Accountability, and Community Impact

 Key Responsibilities

• Program Implementation: Support the end-to-end planning, execution, and monitoring of CODE’s various projects.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between the organization, civil society actors, government institutions, and community leaders.

• Community Mobilization: Work directly with grassroots communities to promote civic participation and teach accountability tools.

• Data & Reporting: Assist in rigorous data collection, documentation, and the creation of impact reports.

• Events & Advocacy: Support the organization of specialized trainings, workshops, and high-level advocacy events.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: Demonstrated interest or prior experience in governance, civic engagement, or international development.

• Communication: Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.

• Attributes: A fierce commitment to transparency and accountability; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
