The Big Smile Foundation is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Liaison Focal Person to lead strategic partnerships and community engagement in Borno State. This role is essential for ensuring smooth communication between the Foundation, local authorities, and the communities served.

Role Overview

Position: Liaison Focal Person
Location: Maiduguri, Borno State (covering Damboa, Konduga, and Biu)
Contract Duration: Short-term

Key Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder & Relationship Management

Primary Interface: Act as the main point of contact between the Foundation and community leaders, government agencies, and traditional authorities.
Collaboration: Foster strong, collaborative relationships to ensure project transparency and local support.

2. Communication & Coordination

Information Flow: Disseminate accurate project information and handle external inquiries.
Community Dialogue: Organize and facilitate field-level meetings and focus group discussions to gain “buy-in” from local stakeholders.

3. Field & Reporting Support

Mission Logistics: Provide on-ground support for field missions, ensuring all protocols are followed during community interactions.
Feedback Loops: Document and report community concerns, feedback, and the overall progress of liaison activities to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Public Relations, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience: Proven professional experience as a Liaison Officer or in a community-facing role.
Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
Mobility: High willingness to travel frequently to Damboa, Konduga, and Biu.
