Role Summary

The Videography Officer will be the visual storyteller for the Media and Communications Department. This role is not just about “recording events”; it is about translating complex policy briefs, research findings, and human-interest stories into compelling video narratives that drive public engagement and social change.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Production & Storytelling

• Plan, film, and edit high-quality videos for advocacy, documentaries, and impact stories.

• Translate research reports and policy outcomes into accessible, audience-friendly video formats.

• Produce recurring video series and thematic campaigns to maintain digital visibility.

2. Digital & Social Media Optimization

• Create platform-specific content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube shorts) and optimize formats for maximum performance.

• Repurpose long-form content (like webinars or town halls) into short-form assets for sustained engagement.

• Lead live-stream productions for major organizational events.

3. Technical & Creative Support

• Maintain an organized archive of all multimedia assets and production files.

• Research trends and innovative tools to enhance video quality and reach.

• Provide reports on video performance metrics and audience insights.

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: Degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional videography experience, ideally within the NGO or development sector.

• Technical Mastery: * Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

  • Experience with professional cameras, lighting rigs, and audio recording equipment.

  • Skills in graphic design (Photoshop/Illustrator) and photography are a significant advantage.

• Communication: Exceptional storytelling ability with a strong command of the English language.
