Position: Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Case Worker

 Locations: Katsina & Zamfara

 Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Protection Supervisor, the GBV Case Worker will provide survivor-centered case management to individuals affected by gender-based violence. The role involves direct service delivery, referrals, data management, and support to community-based structures in line with PUI’s policies and global protection standards.

 Responsibilities

Case Management & Service Delivery:

  • Provide survivor-cantered GBV case management

  • Assess, plan, implement, and follow up on GBV cases

  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation using GBVIMS and other tools

  • Offer referrals and accompaniment to relevant services

Coordination & Community Engagement:

  • Work with community structures and local partners

  • Conduct GBV awareness and prevention activities

  • Lead women’s and girls’ safe space sessions

  • Facilitate case conferences and capacity building for volunteer

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain confidential case files and manage digital records

  • Submit weekly/monthly activity reports

  • Use GBVIMS Incident Recorder for data analysis and donor reporting

Capacity Building & Volunteer Supervision:

  • Train and supervise Protection Volunteers

  • Organize regular feedback and debrief sessions

  • Plan and coordinate outreach training materials and logistics

  • Promote survivor safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field

  • 3–10 years experience in protection, GBV case management, or related roles

  • Strong understanding of GBV guiding principles and survivor-centered approaches

  • Experience with GBVIMS and data management is highly preferred

  • Willingness to work in field locations in Katsina or Zamfara
