Project: Regenerative Pollinator-Microbiome Agriculture Initiative
Location: North, South, East, and West Zones – Ibogun, Ogun State
Duration: 24 Months (October 2025 – September 2027)
Reports to: Project Manager & M&E Coordinator

Position Overview

The Community Mobilizer will act as the link between the technical team and farmers, promoting adoption of regenerative agricultural practices while honoring community knowledge and traditions. Each mobilizer will support 100 farmers in a designated zone of Ibogun.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement: Mobilize 100 farmers per zone, ensure inclusive participation, and build trust with key community groups.

  • Training Facilitation: Organize and support Farmer Field Schools on beekeeping, soil health, IPM, and more—translating technical knowledge into Yoruba.

  • Technical Support: Assist with beehive setup, composting, hedgerow planting, and microbial applications.

  • Data Collection: Maintain farmer records, support M&E surveys, and ensure accurate reporting.

  • Advocacy & Protection: Promote buffer zones, safe pest practices, and pollinator protection.

  • Feedback Loop: Document farmer experiences, gather suggestions, and relay insights to the project team.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Engage traditional rulers, cooperatives, and government reps.

  • Inclusion Focus: Ensure 45% women and 30% youth participation. Support gender- and youth-specific activities.

Zone-Specific Focus

  • North Zone: Work with elderly farmers and religious/community leaders.

  • South Zone: Lead women’s and youth-focused outreach.

  • East Zone: Engage oil palm farmers and traditional councils.

  • West Zone: Collaborate with cocoa cooperatives and support market access.

Requirements

  • OND/HND/BSc in Agriculture, Social Sciences, or related field

  • 2+ years’ experience in rural extension or community mobilization

  • Deep understanding of Ogun State rural dynamics

  • Fluency in Yoruba and English

  • Motorcycle mobility preferred
