About the Programme

Unilever’s Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Internship Programme offers ambitious graduates a hands-on introduction to SHE operations in a world-class FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturing environment.

This internship is designed to build practical skills and support real-time SHE improvements at Unilever’s manufacturing sites. Interns will be mentored by experienced SHE professionals and take ownership of impactful safety and sustainability projects.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

• Have a completed qualification in one of the following fields:

  • Safety Management

  • Occupational Health

  • Environmental Management / Science

  • Related scientific disciplines

• Submit all of the following documents:

  • A CV

  • Certified qualification certificates (statements of results are not accepted)

  • A valid ID

Additional Requirements:

• Excellent organizational and communication skills (written & verbal)

• Attention to detail

• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Key Responsibilities

As an intern, you will:

• Review and update SHE policies and procedures

• Conduct risk assessments and environmental impact reviews

• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis

• Share SHE updates via internal communications

• Assist in SHE training sessions

• Track and report SHE performance metrics

• Coordinate inspections, hygiene checks, and audits

• Lead two key improvement projects at the site

• Conduct safety inductions for contractors and visitors
