Malaria Consortium, a leading non-profit specializing in malaria prevention and control, is seeking to engage LGA Field Officers (Consultants) to support the 2025 integrated Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) and Insecticide-Treated Net (ITN) campaigns in Niger State.
This is a critical role for experienced field professionals who can provide technical, logistical, and coordination support to ensure the effective implementation of these life-saving campaigns.

About the Role
The LGA Field Officers will serve as key liaisons between Malaria Consortium, state and LGA stakeholders, and frontline implementers. You will be embedded within the LGA Primary Health Care (PHC) teams, providing hands-on technical assistance across the entire campaign lifecycle, from planning and implementation to post-campaign reporting and data reconciliation.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Technical & Logistical Support: Providing technical guidance to PHC teams and frontline workers. Ensuring the timely delivery, distribution, and accountability of commodities like drugs and nets.
- Coordination & Supervision: Serving as the key liaison between Malaria Consortium and LGA health teams. Monitoring field activities, supervising community volunteers and health workers, and troubleshooting issues in real time.
- Data Management & Reporting: Ensuring that all treatment, mobilization, and stock data are properly documented using approved digital tools. Reviewing field reports for accuracy and submitting end-of-cycle documentation.
- Capacity Building: Building the capacity of field partners (supervisors, health facility workers, and community volunteers) through training and on-the-job support.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A clinical, nursing, public health, or development-related qualification.
- Experience: At least two years of field experience in a related field. Experience in drug/commodity supply management, M&E, and logistics is required. Experience with supportive supervision and data use is desirable.
- Language: Fluency in English and Hausa or other local languages is required.
- Work-based Skills: Good planning and organizational skills, basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office), and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
