The Big Smile Foundation is a women and youth-led NGO dedicated to providing humanitarian assistance across the BAY states (Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe). TBSF focuses on improving the lives of women and children through strategic partnerships with communities and government bodies.

Role Summary
The Community Liaison (Focal Point) serves as the vital link between the foundation and the communities it serves. You will be responsible for coordinating stakeholder engagements and ensuring that project activities align with TBSF’s quality standards and donor requirements. This role is essential for maintaining the “social license” to operate in sensitive humanitarian environments.
Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Coordination: Lead and support community-level engagements as outlined in the Project Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).

Program Quality: Ensure all field activities meet donor requirements and global humanitarian “good practice” standards.

Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong ties with local leaders, families, and diverse community groups.

Reporting: Process field information into actionable steps and provide timely updates to the Team Lead.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related social science fields.

Technical Tools: You must possess a working laptop and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience: Proven track record as a Liaison Focal Point, Public Relations Officer, or in a similar community-facing role.

Language Skills: Fluency in English and either Kanuri or Hausa is essential for effective communication in Borno State.

Soft Skills: Excellent presentation skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure in rural or security-sensitive areas.
