About the Organization

ZOA International has been active in Nigeria since 2016, specifically targeting the recovery of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees in the Northeast. ZOA’s mission focuses on supporting the most vulnerable households through interventions in Food Security & Livelihoods, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and Education, while fostering community governance and peace.

Available Positions

1. Communications Intern Officer

Focus: Enhancing program visibility, documenting success stories, and managing stakeholder engagement through creative and professional communication.
Ideal for: Recent graduates or early-career professionals with strong writing and digital storytelling skills.

2. Localization and Partners Management Officer

Focus: Strengthening partnerships with local NGOs and community structures, coordinating partner activities, and ensuring accountability in ZOA’s localization agenda.
Ideal for: Professionals with experience in partnership management and humanitarian coordination.

General Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field (e.g., Mass Communication, International Development, Social Sciences).
Experience: Previous experience in the humanitarian sector in Northeast Nigeria is a significant advantage.
Core Competencies: * Commitment to humanitarian principles (Humanity, Neutrality, Impartiality, and Independence).
- Strong teamwork and professional ethics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
