Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Excellence: Provide nursing care according to strict MSF clinical protocols and medical prescriptions.

  • Triage & Emergency: Lead patient triage, assist in consultations, and monitor ward rounds to detect any deterioration in patient health.

  • IPC Standards: Maintain the highest levels of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) to prevent cross-contamination within the facility.

  • Malnutrition Management: Support the stabilization and feeding protocols for pediatric patients in nutrition programs.

  • Supervision: Manage and train nurse aides, ensuring seamless handovers between shifts and accurate data entry in patient registers.

  • Pharmacy & Logistics: Oversee medical equipment maintenance and assist in pharmacy stock inventory management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) or Diploma in Nursing.

  • Licensing: Must possess a valid, current license to practice in Nigeria.

  • Experience: * Minimum of 2 years of active nursing experience.

    • Prior experience with an NGO/INGO or a high-volume private facility is required.

    • Demonstrated experience in supervising and training junior staff.

  • Technical Knowledge: * Proficiency in malnutrition management protocols.

    • Deep understanding of IPC and emergency care.

  • Language: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Hausa is a significant advantage for community interaction.
