The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship (2026–2027)

The University of Edinburgh is offering three prestigious scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic session. This scholarship is specifically designed for high-caliber applicants to Human Medical postgraduate programmes, with a primary mission to support students from Africa and other developing nations.

Scholarship Benefits & Commitment

Target: Health professionals and medical researchers from eligible developing countries.
Scope: Covers full tuition fees for selected Master’s programmes.
Post-Study Goal: Scholars are expected to return to or remain in countries that will benefit most from their advanced medical training to improve local healthcare systems.

Eligible Programmes

Online Learning (Part-Time, 3 Years)

These programmes allow you to study while continuing your clinical work in your home country:

Specialties: Critical Care, Clinical Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, Clinical Trials, Internal Medicine, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Surgical Sciences, and Cancer Biology.
Public Health: Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Family Medicine (MFM).
Innovation: Data Science for Health, Science Communication, and Patient Safety.

On-Campus (Full-Time, 1 Year in Edinburgh)

Core Sciences: MSc Human Anatomy, Biomedical Sciences (Life Sciences), and Integrative Neuroscience.
Research-Focused: Reproductive Sciences, Regenerative Medicine, and Tissue Repair.
Global Health: Master of Public Health (MPH).

Eligibility Criteria

Admission Status: You must have already received an offer of admission to an eligible programme for the 2026–2027 session.
Priority Status: Preference is given to those with unconditional offers and candidates who do not already hold a Master’s degree.
Domicile: You must be a resident of a country listed on the DAC List of ODA Recipients (specific to the University of Edinburgh’s criteria).
Residency: You must be currently living in your home country (ordinary residence).
