Malaria Consortium, a leading global non-profit dedicated to fighting communicable diseases, is seeking a highly organized Technical Assistant for their Abuja office. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity, security, and accessibility of critical project data and compliance documents.

 Role Overview

  • Position: Technical Assistant – Documentation and Data Management

  • Location: Abuja, Nigeria

  • Reporting To: Project Documentation Officer

  • Application Deadline: Monday, February 2, 2026 (5:00 PM)

 Key Responsibilities

1. Physical & Electronic Archiving

  • Organization: Sort, label, and store compliance documents (by project, year, and donor) in designated physical records rooms.

  • Digitization: Scan hardcopy documents and save them using standard naming conventions within a secure electronic folder structure.

2. Data Tracking & Quality Control

  • Registers: Update digital trackers to reflect the exact physical location and scan status of every document.

  • Gap Analysis: Perform quality checks to identify missing signatures or incomplete files and flag them for the Compliance Unit.

3. Confidentiality & Compliance

  • Security: Ensure that sensitive information is handled with the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Safeguarding: Uphold the organization’s strict policies regarding the protection of children and vulnerable adults.

 Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Education: Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) or equivalent.

  • Experience: 2–3 years in document handling, records management, or data entry.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with document management tools/scanners.

  • Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage high volumes of data with 100% accuracy.

Desired:

  • Previous experience with donor-funded health projects (e.g., Global Fund, USAID).

  • Knowledge of records retention and disposal policies.
